Accommodation

There is plenty of choice in the area in terms of accommodation. We will be in the wedding area (Uluwatu, Padang Padang) from 31st March to 12th April and staying at Villa Pemutih from 8th to 12th April. We would love you to be in the area for the latter dates as we have a few things planned but it is not necessary if you have a lot on your ‘to do’ list. We will have welcome drinks on the  8th April (venue TBC)  which all are welcome to if you have arrived in the area, and the wedding is on the 10th. We have a lovely agent who knows all about our wedding, and the area and she can advise you about what would suit your accommodation needs. She can also organise VIP arrival and transfers, as well as the helping you with the rest of your trip. It won’t cost you extra by going through her, it will just mean that she gets a commission from the owners. Please indicate that you are part of the Hannah McNeill and Matthew Tennant wedding, so that she can keep track of where everyone is staying.

Ganesha Inn Ubud

Another one in the cheap and cheerful bracket. This time in Ubud. The most expensive room is £16 a night. £16 is worth the entrance fee alone to be greeted in multiple languages by the resident minor bird. The rooms are not special, but the view is good. The location spot on, a short from the […]

We’ve not stayed at this place in Ubud, but it’s supposed to be pretty special. It’s a bit pricey, but maybe worth a look. Website

Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali

Families with keen golfers (you know who you are!) may want to consider the Pan Pacific at Tanah Lot (sea Temple) It’s not cheap and the cost of eating and sticking around the hotel can add up a bit, but it’s a great golf course and a good place for families (massive pool with slides). […]

Padang Padang Surf Camp

We have spent many a happy day surfing (lessons and guiding) with the guys at Padang Padang surf camp. This involves quite a committed attitude and will usually require an early start and two sessions a day. If you just want to give it a go, you can book a day lesson the day before […]

Medori Putih Homestay

This place is a good budget option. I stay here if i’m travelling solo. It doesn’t have what you might call a wow factor, but the rooms are clean and staff friendly. Some of the basic fan rooms can feel a bit cell like. But the superior rooms are functional, clean, have A/C and hot water and at £16 a […]

Villa Ocean Breeze

We’ve not stayed here, but we’ve had a wander round. It’s next door and owned by the same guy who owns Hacienda Villa. I’d wholeheartedly recommend the Hacienda Villa, it’s awesome, but Adam (Hannah’s brother) has already stepped in and booked that place. Villa Ocean Breeze is huge. It’s also divided up in separate buildings, so groups […]

Uluwatu Cottages

Uluwatu cottages is a good budget (ish) option. It’s probably best o have a car (or a bike) if you are staying here,as it’s a little isolated. It sits on the edge of a cliff, so may not be regarded as 100% child friendly. we’ve stayed there. The rooms are good, clean and spacious. Website

The Temple Lodge

The Temple Lodge is awesome. The property sits on the edge of a cliff, looking over Bingin, arguably one of Bali’s best surf breaks. I’d move in there if i had the chance, they have 7 unique suites. One suite, the Temple Suite, (photo) has its own private pool. Another, the Eagles Nest, sits halfway down […]
